What the report says

3 Sep 2026 at 10:09 am UTC By Liam Squires-HandOriginally released back in 2006 for the Xbox 360, the classic JRPG 'Blue Dragon' can now be played on PC thanks to the re:Blue project. On August 27th, they had their first proper release.
This is a game I've not thought about for a long long time, and one I never managed to finish either - so I might have to give it a go with all the enhancements from re:Blue. Pretty interesting for fans of artwork from Dragon Ball's Akira Toriyama too, and the original game was actually based on a design by Final Fantasy series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi.
Just like other open source projects - it does not include the copyrighted assets, so you need your own CDs with the data to run it.

For Linux / SteamOS the project has an AppImage to download.

Seems to run very nicely on Fedora KDE 44.
