Melty Blood: TWI-LUMINA Launches April 22, 2027 for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch

Aniplex, Type-Moon, and French-Bread have announced that their 2D fighting game Melty Blood: TWI-LUMINA will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam on April 22, 2027. 

A new trailer was also released, highlighting playable characters Len, Shiki Tohno, Arcueid, and Ciel, as well as White Len. Takashi Takeuchi newly illustrated the latter. 

Grand Scenario Mode is an all-new story mode written by Kinoko Nasu with a substantial amount of recorded dialogue. 

Players can choose between two control styles: Act, which offers simplified controls with one-button special moves and single-tap dashing, and Duel, which retains the series’ traditional command inputs. The returning Rapid Beat combo system has also been altered to support more combo routes.

A new combat mechanic is called Gauntlet. By spending the Lumina gauge, players can unleash a rushing attack that can overpower incoming attacks and launch opponents away.
