Neon Abyss 2 Leaves Early Access October 8, Launches for PS5, Xbox, Switch

Kepler Ghost and developer Veewo Games have announced that side-scrolling roguelike action sequel Neon Abyss 2 will leave Early Access on October 8. The full release will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Neon Abyss 2 originally entered Steam Early Access on July 17, 2025. The sequel expands the original game’s run-based action with more combat options, item combinations, companions, and online co-op for up to four players.

Four-player co-op allows groups to combine their character builds and item synergies. Players can also split up and explore different rooms on the same map.

Players can use close-range weapons such as bats and sabers, attack using plants, or command dragon-like creatures. Randomly obtained items can be stacked without a set limit, allowing their effects to interact and create different combinations over the course of a run.

Hatchmon return as collectible companions that can hatch and evolve into allies. The sequel also introduces a Faith System that provides several ways to spend accumulated resources, including purchasing items, recruiting additional Hatchmon, or using them on chance-based activities.
