Some cities welcome you home with open arms. Tyndalston would probably prefer to break yours. In Samson – A Tyndalston Story, players return to a place where old grudges, mounting debt and close-quarters violence make every day another opportunity for things to go horribly wrong.
Developed and published by Liquid Swords, the focused action experience is now available on Xbox Series X|S, PC and PlayStation 5, with Xbox Play Anywhere support. The game previously launched on Steam, where it received Mixed reviews.

A City That Never Lets You Forget
Samson returns to Tyndalston with a debt that continues to grow and enemies who know precisely where to apply the pressure. His sister is being used as leverage, while every job and every decision could determine whether he gets closer to settling his obligations or sinks even further.
The city itself is a key part of the experience. Players will fight through alleys, rooftops, industrial areas and backroom dens, with the environment influencing how they move, corner opponents and escape trouble. This isn’t a world designed simply for sightseeing. Tyndalston is somewhere to navigate, endure and occasionally escape at speed.
Combat focuses on close-quarters fighting, with Samson relying on his physical strength, speed and whatever improvised objects the city provides. Tight spaces and unforgiving encounters leave little room for hesitation, making timing and positioning just as important as throwing a punch.
That action should well feel direct and punishing, with every clash carrying consequences. Samson isn’t strolling into fights expecting everyone to politely take turns. When trouble arrives, he needs to deal with it. YOU need to deal with it…
The Car Is Part Of The Arsenal
When Samson needs to cover more ground, he can climb into his battered vehicle, the Magnum Opus – something that can be used as a weapon in its own right.
Players can ram, drift and smash through the outskirts and industrial wastelands, using the environment and the vehicle’s physicality to deal with pursuers. The battered machinery fits the wider tone of Tyndalston, where nothing looks particularly polished and survival often depends on making something useful out of scrap.
A Focused Story With Real Pressure
An action adventure built around street fights, vehicular destruction and difficult circumstances rather than a sprawling collection of distractions? Samson has returned to Tyndalston for a reason, and the city appears determined to make him regret it.
With its arrival on Xbox Series X|S (through the Xbox Store with Play Anywhere support), PC and PlayStation 5, Samson – A Tyndalston Story offers players a chance to discover a harsher side of urban action. Just make sure you have a plan before borrowing money from anyone in Tyndalston – and perhaps avoid parking the Magnum Opus somewhere it can be easily vandalised.
