Open-World Action RPG ‘Ordinary Oddness’ Announced for PS5, Xbox Series X|S

COSMICPUP STUDIO, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, has announced the open-world action RPG Ordinary Oddness for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and WeGame. The release date is unannounced, but pre-registration is now open.

Set in Elysian Skies, a floating city where supernatural beings known as Mythoids live alongside humans, Ordinary Oddness follows a Consulting Investigator working for the Mythoids Investigation Agency. Players take on cases involving humans and Mythoids, gradually learning more about the city’s mysteries.

The game features real-time action combat built around blocking, dodging, and switching between characters. Boss encounters introduce different mechanics and multiple phases.

Developed using Unreal Engine 5, Ordinary Oddness also features environments that shift between everyday city locations and supernatural spaces.

The announcement includes a 22-minute reveal trailer showcasing the game’s setting, characters, combat, and story. The footage also introduces Mythoid Day, an annual celebration of the city’s residents.
