Farming Simulator 25 is heading somewhere warmer, with the Beans & Alpacas Expansion bringing a South American-inspired setting, new plantation farming and some decidedly fluffy additions to the livestock roster.
Available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, the £25.99 expansion offers a fresh way to build your agricultural empire.

- Key Additions: New Catuaí map, coffee and banana plantations, alpacas and Brahman cows
Welcome To Catuaí
The new Catuaí region swaps familiar farmland for rolling hills, red soil, dense greenery and winding roads inspired by Brazil. A colourful rural town provides a hub for agricultural operations, while more than 1,000 buildings and environmental details help bring the setting to life.
There’s plenty beyond planting and harvesting, too. Players can search for dinosaur skeleton parts, contribute to a Research Center construction project and create products such as pigments and resin.
Coffee and bananas introduce new plantation-based farming systems, complete with specialist equipment and production chains. Coffee beans can be dried and roasted before becoming everything from coffee capsules and beverages to tiramisu and yoghurt. Banana plantations require their own transport rails and washing stations, with harvested fruit processed into products including chips, jam and cake.
Meet The Alpacas
The expansion’s namesake animals are more than just a cute addition. Alpacas can be led on walks to improve their happiness and sheared for fleece, either manually or with hired workers. Their wool can then be turned into products such as socks, pillows, furniture and plush toys.
Brahman cows also join the livestock roster, while wildlife including parrots and caimans adds further character to the landscape.
More Machinery, More Farming
Over 25 new machines and implements arrive from manufacturers including Case IH, John Deere, New Holland, Valtra and Mercedes-Benz Trucks. New brands also join the series, while improved ground-working animations and visual effects add extra detail to field operations.
For anyone yet to start their farming career, the Farming Simulator 25: Beans & Alpacas Edition is available for £51.99, bundling the main game with the expansion. It offers four maps, more than 400 machines and over 150 authentic brands. Alternatively, if you have the base game, just grab the expansion.
We awarded Farming Simulator 25 3.5/5 in our review, highlighting the expanded crops, additional animals and freedom to specialise that give fans plenty to get stuck into.
Beans & Alpacas builds on those strengths with a distinctive new region and production systems that take farming well beyond the usual fields. Whether you’re chasing a coffee empire or simply fancy running an alpaca farm, there’s a different kind of harvest waiting in Catuaí.
