Golf and puzzle games don’t immediately seem like obvious bedfellows, but Hole in Many is ready to prove otherwise.
The latest release from Afil Games is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC, challenging players to get every ball into the correct hole while carefully managing a limited number of shots.
Priced at £4.19, each of the three versions offers the same deceptively simple concept. You fire golf balls around increasingly tricky boards, choosing from three different shot strengths and trying to work out the perfect sequence before your opportunities run out.

Golf Meets Puzzle Solving
Hole in Many isn’t about sinking a traditional golf putt. Instead, each level presents a board filled with golf balls and holes, with players needing to figure out how everything can be moved into position.
Three different shot strengths give you control over the distance and momentum of each move. That becomes particularly important when one ball can be used to influence another, creating opportunities to chain together clever sequences.
The catch is that every shot reduces the counter for every hole, so simply firing balls around the board isn’t going to get you very far. Planning several moves ahead is essential.
The appeal comes from finding that perfect sequence. You might need to make a short, precise move before sending another ball travelling across the board, or use the momentum of one ball to reposition another. When a plan doesn’t quite work, an Undo button gives you the chance to rethink your approach rather than having to start everything over.
A Small Game With Plenty To Think About
Hole in Many is designed around straightforward rules, but the solutions can become surprisingly involved. Observation is just as important as accuracy, with players encouraged to study each board before committing to a shot.
We recently put the game through its paces ourselves, awarding Hole in Many a 3.5/5 in our review. We enjoyed the ambition behind the concept, although we felt the execution didn’t quite reach the green. The lack of a tutorial and some usability issues held it back, while some of the rules could have been a little more forgiving.
Still, there is a solid puzzle experience underneath those rough edges, particularly for anyone who enjoys games where an apparently simple setup gradually reveals more possibilities.
Ready To Take Your Shot?
At £4.19, Hole in Many is a relatively inexpensive puzzle proposition for Xbox and PC players. Its combination of golf mechanics, momentum-based movement and traditional logical problem solving makes for an unusual little package. Whether you’re methodically calculating every trajectory or repeatedly hitting the Undo button after another plan goes horribly wrong, there are 30 puzzles waiting to test your thinking.
Sometimes, getting the ball in the hole is the easy part. Working out how to get it there is where Hole in Many gets interesting.
