The wait is over and the orange track is finally stretching far beyond the tabletop. HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush is now available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC and Nintendo Switch, bringing a huge open-world take on the Hot Wheels formula along for the ride.
Developed and published by Milestone, Infinite Rush swaps traditional closed circuits for a Hot Wheels-sized playground packed with islands, events, collectibles, activities and plenty of opportunities to put some serious mileage on your miniature motors.
And if our recent review is anything to go by, this could be the Hot Wheels game that finally nails the formula.

Welcome to the Infinite Rush
HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush takes the familiar orange-track madness and turns it into something considerably bigger.
Rather than simply bouncing between races, players can explore four different islands, each bringing its own atmosphere, challenges and activities. There are obstacles to smash, secrets to uncover and events to tackle, giving the world plenty more purpose than simply being somewhere to drive between races.
Each island also has its own Rush Master. Complete enough events to unlock their challenge, take down the boss and you’ll claim their car and title. Beat all four and the ultimate prize awaits – becoming the one true Rush Master.
Pick Your Perfect Ride
Not every Hot Wheels car handles in quite the same way, either.
Infinite Rush introduces four vehicle types – Versatiles, Titans, Drifters and Speeders – each designed around a different approach to racing. That means picking a favourite isn’t simply about finding the coolest-looking car in the garage.
With more than 150 vehicles to discover, there should be plenty of opportunities to find something that suits your driving style. And yes, you can customise those rides too. This is Hot Wheels after all.
Build Tracks, Break Records
Milestone hasn’t stopped at providing a massive world to explore.
The Track Builder allows players to create their own courses using the environments around them. Tracks can be attached to the ground, wrapped around buildings or sent soaring above the city, opening up plenty of scope for some suitably ridiculous Hot Wheels creations.
For those who prefer racing rather than building, there’s still a sizeable selection of events and activities to work through, while online multiplayer and split-screen racing provide the inevitable opportunity to ruin a friendship over a badly timed boost.
The game supports up to four players locally, alongside online multiplayer with full cross-play.
Which HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush Edition Should You Buy?
There are three editions available, with the Ultimate Edition currently available for £89.99. It includes the full game, three-day early access (meaning it is available to play right now) and the Vehicle Pass, which promises 44 additional vehicles as they become available. The Ultimate Edition also bundles in the Ferrari Expansion Pack, Car Collection Pack, Boost’n’Slide Pack, Feel the Heat Pack, Power & Pace Pack and the Bone Shaker Skeletor Edition.
The Deluxe Edition arrives on September 10th for £69.99. It includes the full game, the 44-vehicle Vehicle Pass, Boost’n’Slide Pack and Feel the Heat Pack.
The Standard Edition is also available from September 10th for £44.99, providing the base HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush experience.
Unfortunately you won’t find HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush in Game Pass at launch. It does come with Play Anywhere support though.
We’ve Already Taken It for a Spin
We’ve already spent considerable time behind the wheel, awarding HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush a 4/5 in our review. We came away particularly impressed by the scale of the world, the size of the vehicle roster and the sheer number of events available. The multiplayer offering also gives the game plenty of potential longevity, while the Track Builder is there for those who want to get creative with their own ridiculous courses.
Our verdict was pretty simple – after years of Hot Wheels games, Infinite Rush finally feels like the experience we’ve been waiting for.
Which is lucky really, because we’ve already included the game among our best new Xbox and Game Pass games for September 2026, and now everyone can get behind the wheel and see what all the fuss is about.

Whether you’re here for the enormous collection of cars, the open-world exploration, multiplayer chaos or simply the joy of sending a tiny Hot Wheels car flying off an enormous track, HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush has plenty to keep the wheels turning.
