SNK announced a Metal Slug Collection coming to Xbox, Switch, PS5, and PC in 2027.

A massive collection of Metal Slug titles is hitting Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, and PC via Steam in 2027. The collection will have the following nine titles and one local test version:

• METAL SLUG (1996 / NEOGEO MVS)
• METAL SLUG 2 (1998 / NEOGEO MVS)
• METAL SLUG X (1999 / NEOGEO MVS)
• METAL SLUG 3 (2000 / NEOGEO MVS)
• METAL SLUG 4 (2002 / NEOGEO MVS)
• METAL SLUG 5 (2003 / NEOGEO MVS)
• METAL SLUG ADVANCE (2004 / Game Boy Advance)
• METAL SLUG 6 (2006 / PlayStation2)
• METAL SLUG 7 (2008 / Nintendo DS)
• The legendary METAL SLUG Location Test Version (Never officially released)

A list of features coming to the collection include:

• Quick Save
• Quick Load
• Rewind
• Combat School Mode (Tutorial)

Metal Slug was a long-running cooperative quarter muncher at arcades. Featuring highly detailed and animated sprites, the series is known for its extreme difficulty. No release date has been announced for the title, only that it is coming sometime in 2027.
