A Frozen Valley Full Of Danger
Panda: Shards Of Aurora takes place in a world trapped beneath an unending winter. Players control a young panda on a journey through 30 handcrafted levels, with the mysterious Ancient Bear acting as a guide and helping to uncover the secrets of the frozen valley.
The path ahead isn’t particularly welcoming. Icy platforms, slippery surfaces, fragile terrain and deadly spikes all stand between the panda and the legendary Shards of Aurora. Environmental hazards are joined by hostile penguins and aggressive seals, ensuring that careful movement and well-timed jumps are just as important as knowing when to attack.
Master The Platforms And Find The Shards
Every level offers more than a simple route from one side of the screen to the other. Players are encouraged to explore the frozen landscape, search for hidden gems and investigate its corners for secrets.
The panda can stomp on penguins and seals to deal with enemies, but the surrounding terrain remains the bigger concern in many situations. Slippery surfaces can make movement unpredictable, while fragile ground and strategically placed traps demand precision.
The 30 levels are designed to be accessible and rewarding for players of different ages, although the combination of platforming hazards and enemy encounters will still put reflexes to the test.
Can You Restore The Light?
Panda: Shards Of Aurora is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC for £4.19. With 30 handcrafted levels, pixel art visuals, hidden secrets and 2,000 Gamerscore available at launch, Ember Box Studio’s latest platformer offers a compact adventure for anyone willing to brave the cold.
